It is a thermoplastic polymer which is obtained by polymerization of ethylene gas.
There are four types of fiber by density as low, linear low, medium and high.
It is inexpensive as a raw material and it can be in the form of fiber easily.

It is used for;
Insect screen
Protective clothes
Filtration products
Automobile and aeroplane upholstery

The upper surface of fiber is smooth.

Good elongation
Easily processable
Heat sensitive
Water vapour proof
Resistant to moth
Resistant to acid and bases
High resistant to chemicals
