MetalGeneral Metallic fibers can be in the three form as metal, metal coated plastic and plastic coated metal. Single-component metallic fibers for textile usage are fine drawn filaments. These fibers can be spun or woven on textile machinery. It is also possible to use multicomponent metallic fibers for textile. Applications It is used for; Decorative purposes, Applications where electrical conductivity and heat resistance are important, Knitwear, Evening gowns, Home furnishings production. Functions The fiber can be colored in a wide variety of colors. The fiber length changes commonly from 0.2 to 3.2 mm. Specifications Light in weight Weak Easily stretch Resistant to attack by insects and microorganisms Single-component metallic fibers inherit the properties of composing metal, while multi-component metallic fibers inherit the properties of plastic film which forms theirselves. |
